Most do Višegrada je gradil tudi Janez Janša, ki je v vlogi predsednika vlade julija 2021 gostil predsednike višegrajske skupine. Pri tem je zanimiva paradigma, ki jo je težko pojasniti. Po eni strani višegrajci med njimi Janša podpirajo politiko Nata in Zahoda do Ukrajine, po drugi strani pa je istočasno Viktor Orban ves čas zadržan do politike EU in Zahoda do Ukrajine in odkrito koketira z Rusijo. Fico pa je na platformi “nič več pomoči Ukrajini” celo zmagal na volitvah.

Janez Janša, ki se je avgusta letos mudil v Budimpešti, kjer se je sestal z madžarskim premierjem Viktorjem Orbanom vsaj sodeč po medijskih zapisih, ostaja “na liniji”. Kot so poročali mediji sta med srečanjem Janša in Orban letos poleti spregovorila o perečih političnih temah, predsednik SDS pa si je nato v družbi madžarske predsednice Katalin Novak ogledal otvoritveni dan svetovnega prvenstva v atletiki, ki je potekalo v Budimpešti.

Glede nato , da sta Orban in Janša ostala dobra prijatelja tudi po vojni v Ukrajini, kjer imata vsaj navzven diametralno drugačna stališča, je vprašanje ali gre za neiskrenost ali za pragmatičnost, kjer pač vsak zastopa svoje interese in odnos do Ukrajine, kar pa ni ovira za prijateljstvo.
